Daripada Abu Ummamah Al-Bahili r.a. katanya, "Aku mendengar Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda : Bacalah Al-Quran! Kerana sesungguhnya ia akan datang pada hari kiamat sebagai syafaat (pembela) bagi orang yang membacanya. Bacalah dua surat yang bercahaya, iaitu surah Al-Baqarah dan surah Ali Imran. Kerana sesungguhnya keduanya akan datang pada hari kiamat seperti dua mega yang menaungi atau seperti dua awan yang melindungi di atas kepalanya atau seperti dua gerombolan burung yang bersaf-saf. Kedua-dua surah itu akan membela pembacanya."
